Our Story
We believe the best things in a home are made with love, shared from generation to generation, and kept only when they create warmth and comfort.
Galen’s Chromatic Dissections series takes familiar products, signs, video game sprites, or logos and reconfigures them into a minimalist visualization of their component colors that is at once familiar and entirely new. They’re witty, clean, modern statements perfect for your space. Prints available in our Fine Art store.
Beth and Galen have been a team for almost a decade now, both in life and in creative work. Poet and artist, teacher and social worker, quiltmaker and printmaker, photographer and photographer, wife and husband—they complement each other in every way. Separately they’ve been making their own art for more than two decades, together they’ve expanded their repertoire and honed their style into what you see today. Beth specializes in quilted goods, vintage fabrics, and the written word, Galen creates handmade and digital art and design, and together they curate beautiful vintage finds that are as functional as they are beautiful.
After filling their own home and those of their friends and family with their work for years, they decided to share their vision of a comfort cult with the world. A home should be a place where every object brings joy, calm, and ease, where bargain-basement textiles and off-the-shelf art are replaced with affordable heirloom pieces and bespoke expressions of personal joy. Join the inner circle, and live a life of total comfort.
Beth’s quilts marry the vintage and the modern with stunning results. Whether it’s traditional patterns executed with modern prints and palettes, or vintage fabrics worked into clean modern geometry, her works are heirloom pieces sure to complement any decor. And they are always absurdly comfortable, with cozy backs, all-cotton construction, and easy care. Her pieces, both those for immediate purchase and by commission are in our Textiles store.
